Plans & Programs
Greenwich Hospital offers a comprehensive, flexible benefits package to all full-time, part-time, and per-diem employees, as well as to part-time employees who are scheduled to work 15 or more hours biweekly. Employees become eligible for benefits on the first day of the month following 45 days of employment. Many of these benefits are purchased with pre-tax dollars, reducing employee income tax costs.
- Medical
Employees may choose from two comprehensive plans that provide both in-network and out-of-network coverage. No referrals are necessary for doctors or specialists! Employees who show proof of other coverage may waive coverage and receive cash back.
- Dental
Employees may choose from the Delta Dental Basic or Plus Plans. Preventative care and diagnostic services are provided in both plans, and the Plus Plan also includes major and orthodontic services.
- Prescription Drug Coverage
The prescription drug program covers employees and dependents covered under either medical plan. Employees can choose to purchase prescriptions from participating pharmacies or through mail order (up to a 90-day supply) at a reduced cost.
- Disability Insurance
Eligible employees can purchase short-term insurance on a pre-tax basis. This coverage provides 60% of salary for up to six months after a 14-day wait. Long-term disability insurance is provided at no cost to full-time employees after one year of full-time employment, and provides 60% of salary after six months of disability.
- Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment
Greenwich Hospital completely funds life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance for full-time and part-time employees on the first of the month following 45 days of employment. This benefit is equal to the full-time employee’s annual salary, or $2,000 for part-time employees. Employees may purchase additional life insurance on a post-tax basis for themselves, their spouse or children.
