Corporate Social Responsibility

At Greenwich Hospital, we believe that our ability to make a difference extends beyond our hospital walls. Both as an organization and as individuals, we’re dedicated to playing an active and energetic role in Greenwich and surrounding communities—providing our neighbors with the support, outreach programs and special services to improve their quality of life.

This sense of responsibility to the community is a core element of our professional culture, and our nurses and allied health clinicians go to tremendous lengths to adopt this mission as their own. Each day, we’re discovering new ways to make an impact in the lives of people both within and beyond Greenwich Hospital, and just how rewarding it can be in our own lives.

Community Outreach
The communities that Greenwich Hospital services in Fairfield County, CT and Westchester County, NY represent a wide socioeconomic spectrum—and at every level of our organization, we’re committed to providing the underserved and uninsured with the same quality care that has established us as a nationally recognized community hospital. Through Community Health at Greenwich Hospital, we provide an extensive range of free and low-cost testing and screenings, support groups and community health education. We also provide low-cost flu shots, an innovative department of Integrative Medicine offering alternative health and wellness services, and an annual Teddy Bear Clinic designed to ease children’s fear of health care.

Support Programs
Our nurses and allied health professionals recognize the value of community support services and are dedicated to facilitating their success through the donation of their time, energy and expertise. These programs include:

In the Community. For the Community.

Every year, Greenwich Hospital and its employees sponsor, manage or participate in a wide range of health fairs and exhibits at schools, community sites and workplaces. We also run an annual diabetes health fair, a senior health fair, CPR courses through the American Heart Association and a wide range of programs focusing on heart disease. Our Speakers’ Bureau also provides a wide range of free education and information programs to the community on such topics as depression, cholesterol awareness and cancer education.

Greenwich Hospital is also an active participant in the Greenwich Community Health Improvement Partnership which represents a cross-section of human services, education, business and community groups across Fairfield and Westchester Counties. This organization has implemented multiple task forces to address specific health issues, including Mental/Behavioral Health and Community Health Education, and continues to play a key role in raising the quality of life for residents across the region.
