On September 12, 1906, the hospital that would become Greenwich Hospital opened its doors for the first time. From that day forward, our commitment to serving our community has never wavered - and while our services and facilities have expanded that never could have been imagined a century ago, we're still guided by that same sense of dedication.
Today, we're a JCAHO-accredited,174-bed regional provider of care proud to have been recognized for our leadership and achievements by many respected associations and publications. These accolades include:

The top national prize for patient satisfaction, recognizing national rankings in the 95th percentile sustained for three or more consecutive years. Greenwich Hospital qualified easily, having ranked in the top 2% nationwide for the past six years.
- Gold Innovation Prize - Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Partnership
In recognition of our continuous quality improvement efforts in the area of anticoagulant use in patients with atrial fibrillation.
- Silver Innovation Prize - Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Partnership
Presented for our work preventing central venous catheter-related blood stream infections.

Our sixth consecutive year being recognized for our modern information systems.

Greenwich Hospital was accredited for meeting CAP's rigorous standards for diagnostic and treatment equipment, including mammography, MRI, radiation therapy and lab.
